Photobooth for Windows 7

A wrapper for the excellent Karthik's Photobooth clone.

It is a standalone executable which runs the flash based Photobooth clone written by Karthik Tharavaad a long time ago.

In 2009 a friend (vigil) and I wrote a Windows application (published in Aqua-soft.org) to allow the use of that flash based application as a normal desktop app instead of a webbrowser.

Up until now I decided to update it for Windows 7.

New features:
- Support for Windows 7 win-tab (Flip3D)
- Added a shadow border
- Changed WebBrowser with Flash OCX

Requirements:

Latest Adobe Flash Activex installed (that one for Internet Explorer not for Firefox, Opera or any other browser)

A webcam.

NOTE: Video recording is not supported and will not unless the original author updates its work.

Remember, this is only an executable that contains a third party work. Any comment related to functionality of Photobooth will not be answered.

Nice applications. But when you want to save a picture, it asks if you would like to download it. This means, the pictures aren't save locally on your machine as default. My question is , where are all these pictures saved as default, and what happens to them ? Spread online ?

Nice program. But the application doesn't save the pictures locally on the machine as default. When you want to save the picture, it asks if you want to download it. Now, my question is, where ARE the pictures saved before you download them ? Will all these pictures get lost online ?

I'm sorry, but i need to uninstall the Photobooth program and can't figure out how. The program isn't listed under my programs list in the control panel and i didn't see anything that came with the program that allows uninstallation. I thought maybe syatem restore could remove it for me, but that hasn't worked... how might I uninstall Photobooth for Windows 7?

I installed the Flash player for Internet Explorer which opened up all functions of this programme.
Still, even though I allowed the camera access, defined the storage as unlimited and everything that could be blocking the access to the camera, I can't see any image.
Functions like shooting and effects are working, but only a grey screen shows.
Do you know what might be going on wrong?

Note: I'm using an internal camera in the laptop which is detected and working in other programmes. I don't have any other camera or computer at the moment to test.

It might be your web cam driver, if it replicates the issue with another flash webcam application, e.g. [link] (using IE), it might be flash incompatibilities with your webcam.

Awesome! I made a little installer for this app, to make it easier for people to use.
